I received my BSc in 2009 from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine. From 2005 to 2009, I combined studies at the University with an internship in a local company Enamine, where I practiced my skills in organic synthesis. In 2010, I started an MSc program in France, working in the SOMaF team (University of Angers) on new ionic liquids which could be suitable for the solventless Stille reaction. Later, I joined the group of Prof. Robert Häner at the University of Bern, where I spent almost five years and finally received a PhD degree with summa cum laude. My PhD projects included synthesis and analysis of porphyrin-modified DNAs and other unnatural oligophosphates.

In July 2016, I received a grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation to work as a postdoc in the group of Prof. Bert Meijer. I am particularly interested in synthesis and development of novel supramolecular materials which can exhibit adaptable and stimuli-responsive properties, including mechanochemical activity.
