I studied chemistry at the Humboldt University of Berlin, where I obtained my master’s degree in 2014, investigating photoswitchable Brønsted bases. I stayed at the Humboldt University to conduct my doctoral research in the group of Prof. Stefan Hecht with a focus on controlling the synthesis of biodegradable polymers with light. During this period, I visited the laboratory of Prof. Craig Hawker at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where I was involved in the development of a novel light-guided 3D printing technique. Since January 2019, I am a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Bert Meijer, working on photoredox-active single-chain polymeric nanoparticles.
