I obtained my BSc. and MSc. degrees in Chemistry from the Radboud University, Nijmegen. There, I worked in the group of prof. Alan Rowan on polyisocyanide hydrogels during my BSc. project. For my master’s project, I studied the binding properties of porphyrin clip dimers in the group of prof. dr. Alan Rowan and prof. dr. Roeland Nolte. In addition, I spent 7 months in the lab of Craig Hawker at UC Santa Barbara, where I investigated biohybrid coacervate hydrogels. In May 2016, I started my PhD studies in the group of prof. dr. E.W. Meijer at the TU/e. I am interested in understanding how solvent interactions and other competitive interactions effect supramolecular polymerizations and non-covalent molecular systems and can be exploited to generate novel and complex behavior.
