I grew up in Lake Worth, FL, USA and attended the Honors College at Florida Atlantic University in nearby Jupiter, FL. While at FAU, I participated in the DAAD RISE program and worked in the lab of Prof. Walter Vetter at the University of Hohenheim (Stuttgart, Germany), where I studied the occurrence of natural halogenated products in the environment. After graduating summa cum laude with a B.A. in Liberal Arts and Sciences, I joined Prof. Geoffrey W. Coates’s group at Cornell University. My research interests while at Cornell included homogeneous metal-based catalysis, polyester synthesis, and biorenewable materials. After finishing my Ph.D. in July 2015, I began work as a Post Doc in the Meijer group in September 2015, where I am currently investigating how dynamically changing polymer sequence and architecture affects the formation of single chain polymer nanoparticles.
