I obtained my BSc degree in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry in 2024, during which I started working as a student assistant under Dr. Ghislaine Vantomme and Prof. Bert Meijer. In this time I explored different sides of fundamental supramolecular polymer research, both experimental and computational. For my bachelor thesis I created a Multi-Objective Bayesian Optimisation algorithm based on two different machine learning regression models, which I subsequently verified with experiments. I also got the opportunity to work under Prof. Glenn Fredrickson in the Materials Research Laboratory of University California Santa Barbara. In this research project I computationally explored the phase behaviour of reversibly bonding polymers.

During the first year of my masters degree I completed a research project under Prof. Bert Meijer and Dr. Ivo Filot to uncover complex aggregation states of supramolecular polymers using Density Functional Theory. This also inspired the topic of my master thesis where I am currently working on molecular dynamics simulations, based on ab-initio data, to understand the influence of external components on the aggregation of supramolecular monomers.
