I studied chemistry at the Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg, where I obtained my bachelor`s degree (2012) with Prof. G. Helmchen on the ”enantioselective total synthesis of (-)-indolizidine 209D” and my master`s degree (2014) with Prof. A. S. K. Hashmi on “bidirectional gold-catalysis”. During my studies I spent three month in the labs of Prof. J.-E. Bäckvall at Stockholm university, where I applied chemoenzymatic dynamic kinetic resolution in the stereoselective total synthesis of Formoterol. In 2015, I moved to ETH Zürich where I performed my PhD project with Prof. H. Wennemers focusing on proline-rich peptides and their use as catalysts and materials. Since January 2020, I am a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. E. W. Meijer working on the defined synthesis of multi-component supramolecular polymers and higher ordered networks.
